HOW IT WORKS

A digital identity for your artworks

SmartStamp works like FaceID: you scan an artwork and create a verifiable digital identity.

Register the artwork

An artwork is registered by scanning images and entering key information such as title, year, medium, and dimensions. This creates a standardized record. The same fields apply to every artwork, regardless of who registers it or where in the art ecosystem they sit.

Generate a digital STAMP

A digital identity is generated and linked to the artwork. It contains the artwork's core information and documentation in a consistent, structured format. The STAMP is the primary record that follows the artwork throughout its lifecycle.

Assign an owner

The artwork can be assigned to an owner: an artist, collector, gallery, or institution. When ownership changes, the digital STAMP moves with the artwork. The record of each previous owner becomes part of the artwork's documented history.

Access and update the archive

All artworks are stored in an archive where records can be accessed, reviewed, and updated when needed. Information can be added over time: new ownership, exhibition history, condition notes, without altering what was previously recorded.

A note on scope. SmartStamp focuses on documenting artworks and maintaining structured records. It does not determine authenticity or replace expert judgment. It provides a system to record and verify information clearly and consistently, creating a continuous record that can be used across different contexts, including sales, collection management, and institutional workflows.
